Gert Reiter

(Austria)

Gert Reiter received his diploma in Physics at the University of Technology Graz in 1993. During his PhD studies in the field of mathematical physics and elementary particle theory he worked as university assistant and lecturer at the University of Technology Graz and the University of Vienna. In 2001 he joined Siemens Healthcare as research physicist starting to work in the field of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, which is still his main research focus. Since 2003 he is responsible for Siemens MR research and development collaborations in Austria. Gert Reiter gave numerous lectures and teaching courses in mathematical physics, biomedical engineering, medical imaging, image post processing, and cardiac imaging. He received his habilitation in Experimental and Theoretical Radiology at the Medical University of Graz in 2017. Gert Reiter is author and coauthor of numerous peer reviewed papers, book contributions, books and patents.
